HOW WE WORK

Clarity before checkout.

We help you define the job, understand useful specifications, and set a budget before looking at a product listing.

Our principles

Start with the need. We ask whether an existing tool or a simpler fix already does the job. Then we compare general types and the details that change daily use.

Explain specs in context. An advertised number has value only when it helps you decide for your room, kitchen, surfaces, or routine.

Stay brand-free. We do not rank, link to, or endorse specific brands or models. Generic illustrations show broad product forms. This site currently contains no paid placements or affiliate links.

How budget bands work

Our US dollar ranges are editorial planning bands, not price quotes, medians, or promises of equivalent quality. We checked public US category listings on October 16, 2026, and rounded them into useful tiers. A sale, capacity, retailer, and local taxes can change the actual price. The bands help you decide what a feature is worth to you; confirm current offers and return terms yourself.

We also flag ownership costs such as electricity, filters, batteries, cleaning, and replacement parts when relevant. We do not infer laboratory performance from a price tag.

Sources & update notes

Last editorial review: October 16, 2026. Price bands should be rechecked periodically. If a source page changes, a current retailer listing takes precedence for an actual purchase.

Use this as a starting point

The guides are general educational material for a US audience. They cannot measure your home or test a specific model. Confirm safety instructions, dimensions, operating conditions, warranty, and current price with the seller and manufacturer before buying. We welcome corrections as the site develops.
